'Detrop' set the scene for the food and beverage sector during its first descent to Athens and the organisation of 'Detrop Boutique Show Athens', organised by TIF-Helexpo at Helexpo Maroussi exhibition centre from 14 to 16 March 2014. The only exhibition for export-oriented Greek products, by professionals and for professionals, welcomed over 3,5000 specialised trade visitors and professionals, who came into contact with 200 purely Greek food-beverage enterprises that showcased their products.
The exhibition was intensely international, as it was visited by foreign trade visitors from 28 countries, such as Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Libya, Morocco, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, North Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, the United States of America and Cyprus.
In fact, foreign trade visitors active in the distribution, importation, wholesale and retail sale of food and beverages in major foreign markets attended 340 business meetings with exhibitors participating in 'Detrop Boutique Show Athens'.
Nine out of ten visitors who attended the exhibition expressed their interest to repeat their visit at the next event, while eight out of ten concluded commercial agreements during their visit. In fact, nine out of ten foreign visitors found their meetings with the exhibitors of 'Detrop Boutique Show Athens' to have been fruitful.
Furthermore, 93% of the enterprises that participated in the exhibition believe that this participation will result in further activity in the future. It is no accident that the general picture indicates a good and very good degree of accomplishment of the goals set by the exhibitors when they decided to participate in 'Detrop Boutique Show Athens', such as promoting their enterprise, providing and receiving information and creating contacts with new clients.
